LLSP 2026 Hybrid Program

KARAMAH is excited to announce that the 2026 LLSP program has been designed as a hybrid model of virtual learning in late June and early July 2026, with an engaging in-person component to take place in Washington, D.C. during the last two weeks of July 2026. 

Applications are now open and Muslim women over the age of 18 who want to be considered for this competitive, but worthwhile and life-changing program, should apply as soon as possible. Available spots will be awarded on a rolling admissions basis and the deadline to apply is April 30, 2026.

KARAMAH Hosts High Level Iftar Dinner in Washington, D.C. and Formally Announces the Launch of the KARAMAH Institute

KARAMAH convened a distinguished gathering of leaders in Washington, D.C. for a high-level Iftar dinner, marking a pivotal moment in the organization’s evolution. During the event, KARAMAH formally announced the launch of the KARAMAH Institute—a transformative new initiative that builds on over 30 years of advancing the rights and leadership of Muslim women. The Institute will serve as a dynamic hub for scholarship, leadership development, and global engagement, expanding KARAMAH’s impact through education, research, and community partnerships.

Research is the core of KARAMAH’s work, and serves as the bridge between thought and action in the struggle for justice. KARAMAH’s authentic, yet innovative research in Islamic jurisprudence is the source of the knowledge base essential to the promotion of the rights of Muslim women, and human rights for all, in an Islamic context.

Our Programs

KARAMAH has worked to develop intensive and innovative educational programs that provide Muslim women with the tools and skills they need to become dynamic leaders in their communities. After graduating from KARAMAH’s programs, alumnae have returned to their communities to serve as leaders, to share their knowledge, and to work for positive change in their communities. Through their efforts, and with ongoing support from KARAMAH, our impact is felt by hundreds more women around the world.

“The Rights Conversation with Karamah” — Launching January 2026

“The Rights Conversation with Karamah” is being launched in January 2026! This podcast will be dedicated to sharing the voices of Muslim thought leaders and activists. The thirty-minute audio episodes will explore the lived experiences and perspectives of Muslims who have worked to advance women’s rights, civil rights, or social justice in the U.S. and abroad.
