KARAMAH has worked for 17 years to develop its Jurist Network, which is composed of over 400 jurists, scholars, lawyers, and leaders who are active in shaping Islamic Jurisprudence throughout the world.  The Jurist Network can be used as both a source of information about Islamic Jurisprudence and women’s rights, as well as a tool to disseminate new ideas.  In December 2008, KARAMAH, along with the Supreme Council of Women in Bahrain, held a successful 3-day conference during which Jurist Network members presented papers, discussed new strategies for securing women’s rights, and coordinated future efforts and events.  Currently, KARAMAH has reinvigorated and is now expanding the Jurist Network, making it a means to increase international cooperation among women’s rights organizations in the Middle East, Europe, and North Africa.
