Continuing Legal Education

KARAMAH is dedicated to providing attorneys, community advocates, and the general public with practical and participatory programs related to Islamic Law and legal issues facing the Muslim Community. As a part of this initiative, we are working with experienced legal professionals to provide quality Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses that address issues faced by attorneys representing Muslim clients in U.S. Courts.

This Spring, KARAMAH will be conducting a series of CLE’s on domestic violence in the Muslim Community. These CLE’s will be open to attorneys and other court advocates, social workers, and therapists representing victims of domestic violence in various capacities. During each two (2) hour session, KARAMAH’s Director of Family Law, Aisha Rahman, will engage in subjects ranging from cultural sensitivity to advocating for Muslim victim’s rights in the courtroom.

Each CLE will offer two (2) hours of credit to attorneys. If you are not licensed in Virginia or the District of Columbia, please contact us at: lectureRSVP@karamah.org. We will contact your local bar association to ensure you receive credit for the training.
