
On Thursday, August 27, 2009, KARAMAH met with a delegation of educational leaders visiting from Pakistan on a trip sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program. The talk focused on issues of women’s rights in Islam and the role of Islamic law in cases of family law in both Muslim and non-Muslim countries. Participants included:

- Mr. Kamran Shahid, senior lecturer of International Relations, Department of History at Government College, University in Lahore
KARAMAH regularly hosts meetings with foreign nationals hosted by the U.S. Department of State. Groups consist of current or potential leaders in government, politics, the media, education, the arts, business and other fields from all over the world, who visit the U.S. to meet and confer with their professional counterparts and to experience America first-hand. |
