Karamah Welcomes New Leaders to its Staff

Mais Abbas Abousy, Esq. will serve as Program Officer for Karamah’s Islamic Law division. A lawyer licensed to practice in Virginia, Ms. Abousy received her law degree from American University, Washington College of Law (J.D. 2006) and is a graduate of George Mason University (B.S. 2003). Ms. Abousy coordinated with the U. S. government and other entities on Iraqi elections in 2005 while working with an international governmental organization. She has studied in Argentina and Chile, focusing on regional capital markets. She has published in the The American Jurist regarding legal issues in Iraq and has interned at the Department of Energy and in Congress.

Kristen Dennis joins KARAMAH as Office Manager. Her duties include overseeing the daily administrative operations of the organization. A graduate from American University with a major in International Studies, she previously worked as Graduate Admissions Associate in the School of International Service at American University, where she processed domestic applications and represented the university in the U.S. and abroad on informational trips.
