2009 Law and Leadership Summer Program July 6-24, 2009
Law and Leadership Summer Program (LLSP) is the most outstanding and unique leadership development program offered to Muslim women from around the world. LLSP incorporates the study of Islamic law as a means to foster leadership qualities in Muslim women so that they may be well positioned to implement progressive and orderly change. Each year the program selects approximately 25 outstanding Muslim women to take courses on Islamic Jurisprudence, Comparative Law, Conflict Resolution, and Leadership Development. Karamah Welcomes New Leaders to its Staff

Lubabah Abdullah joins KARAMAH as Program Manager of the Law and Leadership division. Lubabah is a lawyer and a veteran community outreach organizer. A member of the advisory board for the Muslim Student Association’s (MSA) national division, she previously served as Vice President and Treasurer of the MSA for the U.S. and Canada, and has extensive experience at various Midwestern family services clinics. She received her J.D. at the University of Missouri at Kansas City with an emphasis in Family Law. She speaks English and Arabic.
Kristen Dennis joins KARAMAH as Office Manager. Her duties include overseeing the daily administrative operations of the organization. A graduate from American University with a major in International Studies, she previously worked as Graduate Admissions Associate in the School of International Service at American University, where she processed domestic applications and represented the university in the U.S. and abroad on informational trips.
