New Jersey’s Supreme Court Committee on Women in the Courts will present an education program and panel discussion on February 29 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick. The first part of an evening will be a lecture by Fordham University law faculty member, Prof. Tanya Hernandez, who will discuss implicit bias based on her research and scholarship. The second part of the evening will be a panel lecture featuring retired New Jersey Chief Justice Deborah T. Poritz; Rachel Godsil, professor of law at Seton Hall and director of research at the American Values Institute, Engy Abdelkader, vice president of KARAMAH: Muslim Women Lawyers for Human Rights and a legal fellow at the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding, and Daniel L. Weiss, an attorney specializing in immigration law.
